A theoretical and practical workshop focusing on problems on the lead, with behaviour expert Sheila Harper and handler Winnie Boerman. Both have worked with dogs and owners worldwide, as well as many rescue centres.
This day will help to improve your handling skills and provide strategies to reduce pulling on the lead and reactivity. You can either bring a dog for a handler place, where you will receive individualised tuition (limited to five places) or come as a spectator. Spectators will be given a commentary on the handling as it happens, including an opportunity to ask questions about what they see.
Handler Place: £75/ Spectator Place: £55
9.30am-4pm. Refreshments provided but please bring lunch. Dogs will not be interacting with each other.
NB: This is a stand alone workshop but if possible, it is beneficial to have attended the seminar on canine body language and stress reduction on the previous day.
